Urgent Hiring – Site Incharge (Civil Construction – Road Projects)

SSPL Consultancy is hiring a Site Incharge for a road construction project in Brahampur,Gajapati.Odisha.

- Experience: 5–8 years
- Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Salary: ₹25,000–₹35,000 per month
- Facilities: Free accommodation and food

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily road construction activities.
- Ensure work quality as per project specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and site workers.
- Maintain site safety and project documents.
- Ensure timely completion of construction work.
- Manage manpower, materials, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Road Construction & Site Execution

- Supervise road construction activities, including earthwork, subgrade preparation, GSB, WMM, DBM and BC, as applicable to the project.

- Monitor road length, width, thickness, levels, gradients and camber according to approved drawings.

- Ensure construction work is completed as per project specifications and timelines.

- Coordinate with contractors, labourers, equipment operators and project management.

2. Construction Materials & Mix Ratios

- Understand the properties and applications of sand, cement, aggregates, bitumen and other construction materials.

- Check cement-sand-aggregate proportions for concrete works as per approved mix design.

- Monitor the quality and quantity of materials used at the site.

- Ensure the correct grades of concrete and materials are used according to technical specifications.





- Coordinate material sampling and testing.

3. Measurement & Quantity Calculation

- Calculate road length, width, thickness and construction quantities.

- Prepare measurements for earthwork, granular layers, concrete works and bituminous works.

- Calculate material requirements and maintain daily work records.

- Assist in preparing the Measurement Book (MB), quantity statements and contractor bills.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings and applicable road construction specifications.

- Monitor field density, compaction, levels and material quality.

- Coordinate soil, aggregate, concrete and bituminous mix testing as required.

- Identify construction defects and ensure corrective action.

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily progress reports and site measurement records.

- Maintain labour attendance, material consumption and equipment utilisation records.

- Report site progress, technical issues and delays to the Project Manager.

- Coordinate with surveyors, contractors and quality control teams.

Required Skills

- Practical experience in road construction and site supervision.

- Knowledge of cement, sand, aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials.

- Understanding of road length, width, thickness, levels and cross-sections.

- Knowledge of quantity estimation and measurement calculations.

- Ability to read civil engineering drawings.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel is an advantage.

- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
