Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students in selecting suitable safety and professional courses based on their educational background, career goals, and interests.

The candidate will be responsible for handling enquiries, counselling students, following up with leads, converting prospects into admissions, and achieving assigned admission targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and prospective candidates about available courses, eligibility, fees, duration, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' educational backgrounds and career goals and recommend suitable courses.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, social media, and other channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain accurate lead records.
- Convert qualified leads into admissions.
- Explain course curriculum, certifications, training methodology, placement assistance, and career prospects.
- Maintain strong relationships with students and parents.
- Coordinate with academic and admission teams to ensure a smooth enrolment process.
- Achieve monthly admission and conversion targets.
- Maintain daily and monthly counselling/admission reports.
- Participate in seminars, career guidance programs, education fairs, and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on the institute's courses,



certifications, fees, schedules, and admission procedures.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in academic counselling, student admissions, education sales, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English and Malayalam; Hindi is an added advantage.
- Robust counselling, convincing, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Experience in handling leads and converting enquiries into admissions.
- Comfortable with outbound calls and regular follow-ups.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with CRM/MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.

Performance Expectations

- Meet monthly admission targets.
- Maintain a healthy lead-to-admission conversion rate.
- Ensure timely follow-up of all enquiries.
- Maintain accurate student and lead records.
- Provide professional and effective counselling to prospective students.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
