Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tekla Checker to review and verify 3D structural steel models, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings using Tekla Structures. The candidate should have strong knowledge of structural steel detailing, drawing standards, and quality checking to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Check and review 3D models created using Tekla Structures.

Verify fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and erection drawings for accuracy.

Review structural steel connections, bolts, plates, beams, columns, and other steel components.

Identify modeling errors, drawing discrepancies, and detailing issues.

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.

Verify Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Off (MTO), and bolt lists.

Coordinate with Tekla Modelers, detailers, and design engineers to resolve technical issues.

Ensure consistency between 3D models, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.

Review drawing revisions and incorporate necessary corrections.

Maintain quality standards and meet project deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications





Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures.

Experience in structural steel detailing and model checking.

Ability to read and interpret structural and engineering drawings.

Knowledge of steel connections, fabrication processes, and erection requirements.

Familiarity with international steel detailing standards and project specifications.

Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.

Robust analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience in structural steel detailing projects, industrial buildings, and steel structures.

Ability to independently review models and drawings and provide technical feedback.

Experience coordinating with modelers and project engineering teams.
