Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Lead Analog Design Engineer with robust hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal IC/SoC design. The role involves architecture and circuit design, chip-level integration, layout coordination, silicon debug, and technical leadership of a small analog design team.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the architecture and design of analog subsystems for mixed-signal SoCs.

- Translate system-level requirements into analog subsystem architecture and block specifications in coordination with chip architecture, digital design, and verification teams.

- Analyze process constraints and optimize circuit designs for performance, power, area, robustness, and manufacturability.

- Lead a team of 3-5 analog engineers, including work planning, partitioning, tracking, technical reviews, and ownership of team deliverables.

- Mentor junior engineers, assign appropriate technical work, supervise execution, and provide constructive feedback.

- Understand layout challenges, define layout constraints, and work closely with layout teams to achieve design intent.

- Debug silicon in the lab for functional, performance, and reliability issues.

- Document, analyze, and present design and validation results with high technical quality.

Minimum Qualifications

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in analog design for mixed-signal SoCs or Analog ICs.

- Solid understanding of analog circuits, analog subsystem architecture,



and chip-level integration.

- Strong understanding of non-ideal transistor behavior including short-channel effects, mismatch, parasitics, noise, ageing, breakdown, and Safe Operating Area (SOA).

- Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso analog design tools, including PVT analysis, mismatch/statistical simulations, reliability analysis, and post-layout/back-annotation simulations.

- Hands-on design experience with at least 7-8 different analog block types, such as differential voltage amplifiers, transconductance amplifiers, comparators, bandgaps, power-on-reset circuits, PLLs, current-mirror/biasing circuits, IO circuits, LDOs, DACs, and ADCs.

- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.

- Strong technical background with the ability to create high-quality technical documentation.
