Senior Sales Trader: Tin & Solder

Purple Products is hiring a Senior Sales Trader for Tin & Solder to manage and grow a metals trading business, build strategic customer and supplier relationships, and drive sales volume, contribution and profitability.

What you’ll do

- Drive sales of Tin, Solder and Tin-based products across B2B markets, and manage key customer accounts and long-term relationships
- Find and win new customers, understand their consumption, specifications and pricing needs, and lead commercial negotiations to close profitable deals
- Execute physical Tin and Solder transactions, and build pricing strategies for customer and supplier deals using LME-linked pricing
- Evaluate trading opportunities for risk-adjusted profitability, and monitor priced and unpriced positions with the Risk and Trading team
- Build supplier, producer and trader relationships, find competitive sourcing, and negotiate premiums, payment terms and delivery schedules
- Track the global Tin market, LME movements, premiums, inventory trends and competitor pricing, and give regular market inputs to senior management
- Own customer-wise and product-wise profitability, including gross contribution per MT, receivables,



credit exposure and working-capital efficiency

What we’re looking for

- 13-15 years of relevant experience in Tin, Solder, non-ferrous metals, commodity trading or closely related industries
- Robust hands-on experience in Tin and Solder sales and trading, with a good understanding of LME Tin pricing
- Experience in physical metal transactions and commercial negotiations
- A strong customer and supplier network in the industry, and experience managing significant accounts and volumes
- Strong understanding of margins, premiums, pricing and deal economics
- Excellent negotiation, relationship and stakeholder management skills, and a strong commercial, analytical and numerical mindset
- Background in Tin or Solder manufacturing or trading, non-ferrous metals, commodity trading houses, electronics and PCB supply chains, cable and wire, or metal recycling is preferred
- Immediate to 30 days notice period
- Interview process: Mumbai-based candidates have a telephonic first round and two walk-in rounds. Candidates from outside Mumbai have two telephonic or virtual rounds and a final walk-in round

Pay: Up to ₹2,300,000.00 per year
