Role: Rework Technician

About the Role

Cavli Wireless is looking for a skilled Rework Technician to support PCB assembly rework, component replacement, defect identification, and repair activities. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience working with miniature electronic components and advanced packages such as 0201 or smaller, BGA, and LGA.Key Responsibilities

- Perform PCB/PCBA rework, repair, component replacement, and soldering activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot PCB assembly defects using visual inspection and appropriate tools.
- Handle miniature components (0201 or smaller) with precision.
- Perform rework on BGA, LGA, QFN, QFP, and other fine-pitch components.
- Carry out component removal, replacement, solder touch-up, and pad/PCB repair as required.
- Perform soldering and rework using microscopes and appropriate rework equipment.
- Inspect reworked boards to ensure workmanship and quality standards are met.
- Follow IPC workmanship standards and ESD safety practices during rework activities.
- Maintain proper documentation of rework, defects, repairs, and component replacements.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for defect analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of components and rework tools.




- Maintain a clean and organized rework workstation in accordance with 5S and ESD requirements.

Required Skills

- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in PCB/PCBA rework or electronics manufacturing.
- IPC-trained with good knowledge of IPC workmanship standards.
- Robust skills in defect identification and PCB inspection.
- Hands-on experience handling 0201 or smaller miniature packages.
- Strong experience working with BGA and LGA packages.
- Good soldering and desoldering skills, including fine-pitch components.
- Experience using microscopes and PCB rework/repair equipment.
- Good understanding of ESD handling and safety practices.
- Ability to identify soldering defects such as bridging, insufficient solder, tombstoning, opens, shorts, and component misalignment.
- Good attention to detail and precision in handling electronic assemblies.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing/rework will be considered.

Preferred Experience

Experience in EMS, PCBA manufacturing, electronics production, or IoT/electronic product manufacturing will be an added advantage.
