Job Description – Head of Procurement | Let’s Try Foods

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing operations at Let’s Try Foods. The role will focus on strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimisation, quality assurance, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, production requirements, and growth plans.
- Manage sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, food ingredients, packaging materials, and other operational supplies.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely material availability and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D;, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align procurement with demand forecasts and production schedules.
- Ensure suppliers meet required food safety, quality, hygiene, and regulatory standards, in coordination with the Quality team.
- Monitor commodity price fluctuations, market trends, supplier performance, and procurement risks.
- Establish procurement policies, SOPs, approval processes, and vendor performance evaluation systems.




- Drive cost optimisation, process improvements, and procurement reporting, including budgets, savings, and purchase commitments.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, supplier documentation, and procurement MIS.
- Lead and develop the procurement team while building robust supplier relationships.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably in the food, FMCG, or manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in vendor management, commercial negotiations, cost control, and supplier development.
- Understanding of food ingredients, packaging materials, quality requirements, and applicable food safety standards.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement reporting tools.

Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably with leadership experience in food/FMCG procurement.
