Job Summary

We are looking for a QC Chemist to carry out quality testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products, and to support the continuous improvement of our products and test methods. The role reports to the Head Chemist.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct QC tests on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.

· Assist the Head Chemist in planning and executing laboratory tests and experiments.

· Record data accurately and in accordance with laboratory guidelines.

· Document test procedures and results and report them to the Head Chemist.

· Develop or revise analytical test methods to ensure quality, productivity, and consistency.

· Analyse root causes of quality issues and suggest corrective actions.

· Support work on existing products to reduce cost, improve performance, or simplify manufacturing, and take on other research tasks as assigned.

· Coordinate, plan,



and perform daily laboratory functions.

· Keep the laboratory clean, safe, and organised.

· Identify and report new equipment needs to the supervisor.

· Keep up to date with production and technical developments.

Requirements

· Education: B.Sc. in Chemistry; M.Sc. is preferred.

· Experience: Minimum 3 years in the fertiliser or chemical industry (mandatory).

· Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical testing.

· Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
