- Perform CT scan examinations as per the doctor's prescription and departmental protocols.
- Prepare patients for CT scans and explain the procedure to them.
- Verify patient identity, scan requests, and relevant clinical information before the examination.
- Operate CT scan equipment safely and efficiently.
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation protection and safety guidelines to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Assist with contrast-enhanced CT examinations as per hospital protocol and within the scope of training and authorization.
- Observe patients for any adverse reactions during or after contrast administration and immediately inform the concerned doctor in case of an emergency.
- Ensure proper patient care, privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness of the CT scan room and follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Check the functioning of CT equipment and report any technical problems to the concerned authority.
- Maintain CT scan registers, patient records, examination details, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with radiologists,
radiology staff, nursing staff, and other hospital departments.
- Ensure that emergency equipment and necessary supplies are available as per departmental protocol.
- Follow hospital policies, quality standards, and instructions issued by the Radiology Department and Hospital Management.
- Ensure proper use and storage of departmental equipment and consumables.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Perform other duties related to the Radiology Department as assigned by the authorized superior.
- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or an equivalent recognized qualification, as applicable.
- Experience: Relevant experience in CT scanning is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of CT scan procedures, patient positioning, radiation safety, and imaging equipment.
- Registration: Must meet applicable skilled registration and regulatory requirements.
