Site In-Charge – Highway Works

Experience: 2–3 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Location: Project Site
Industry: Highway / Road Construction

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day highway construction activities at the project site.
- Monitor execution of earthwork, embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC and other roadwork activities.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, technical specifications and project quality standards.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, operators and labour teams.
- Monitor daily work progress, manpower, machinery deployment and material utilisation.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site measurements and records of work executed.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for field testing, sampling and inspection.
- Ensure proper utilisation of construction materials and machinery.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager for timely resolution.




- Follow site safety procedures and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of highway construction methods and civil engineering drawings.
- Understanding of roadwork specifications, BOQ and measurement procedures.
- Ability to manage site manpower, machinery and daily work targets.
- Good coordination, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Eligibility

- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in highway or road construction projects.
- Candidates with practical site execution experience will be preferred.
