Job Description : Store Keeper - Furniture Factory

Experience Required: 1 years

Work Location: Whitefield, Bengaluru

Offered Salary: 25,000 - 28,000 Per Month

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and controlling all raw materials, hardware, fittings, and finished goods within the furniture factory. This role ensures accurate inventory records, proper storage, timely issuance of materials to production, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, accessories, hardware, and finished goods against delivery documents
- Maintain proper storage of materials such as wood, boards, laminates, fabrics, foam, hardware, adhesives, and finishes
- Issue materials to production departments as per approved requisitions
- Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based) including stock levels, movements, and balances




- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts; report discrepancies and variances
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and preservation of materials to avoid damage, wastage, or deterioration
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and accounts departments for material planning and reconciliation
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management for timely reordering
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the store area
- Handle documentation such as GRNs, material issue slips, stock registers, and delivery notes
- Support audits and inspections by providing required inventory records
- Follow factory safety rules and procedures, including fire and material handling guidelines

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, and accessories
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel / inventory software preferred)
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
- Physically fit to handle materials when required

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma in Store Management or Logistics is a plus)
- 2–5 years of experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in a furniture factory or manufacturing environment

- Factory-based role
- May involve lifting, moving, and handling materials
- Exposure to wood, dust, and manufacturing materials

- Factory Manager / Production Manager / Stores Manager
