Position: Secondary Social Science & Political Science Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Secondary Social Science & Political Science Teacher to teach students at the secondary level. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to develop students’ critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and understanding of history, geography, civics, political systems, and contemporary social issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Social Science and Political Science as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach relevant topics in History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Political Science, according to grade-level requirements.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Encourage critical thinking, informed discussions, debates, and civic awareness.
- Explain democratic institutions, the Indian Constitution, governance, citizenship, and political systems.
- Assess student progress, maintain academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and learning abilities.
- Prepare students for periodic assessments, examinations, and board examinations, where applicable.
- Integrate technology, maps, case studies, current affairs, and project-based learning into classroom teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, and parents to support student achievement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Political Science,



History, Geography, Social Science, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. is preferred or required as per the applicable school and recruitment norms.
- Relevant teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.
- Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
