About the Role

We are hiring a Zonal Manager, Installation & Service to lead fibre installation and service operations across a defined zone. You will own end-to-end delivery, from new FTTH connections to fault restoration, managing cluster managers, supervisors, field technicians, and franchise or contractor partners. The role suits a hands-on leader who understands fibre networks, customer experience, and field operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and activation

- Own new FTTH/FTTx installation targets across the zone, ensuring on-time activation and a high first-time-right rate
- Monitor installation TAT, backlog, and cancellations, and take corrective action
- Ensure proper fibre drop laying, ONT/CPE installation, splicing, and signal testing as per company standards

Service and maintenance

- Oversee fault repair, fibre cuts, and service restoration to meet SLAs and reduce MTTR
- Reduce repeat complaints and repeat visits through root-cause analysis
- Coordinate with NOC and network teams on outages, planned maintenance, and OSP issues

Team and partner management

- Lead cluster/area managers, supervisors, and technicians, with transparent targets and regular reviews
- Manage vendors, franchise partners, and contractors, including onboarding, performance tracking, and payout validation
- Conduct training on fibre splicing, OTDR/power meter usage, safety, and customer handling

Operations and reporting

- Track KPIs: installation TAT, FTR, MTTR, complaint ratio, churn linked to service issues, and CSAT/NPS
- Control CPE, cable, and consumables inventory, and reduce wastage and losses




- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and present performance to senior management
- Manage zonal budget, opex, and cost per installation

Customer and compliance

- Handle high-level customer escalations and protect brand reputation
- Ensure adherence to safety norms, RoW (Right of Way) permissions, and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in ISP, telecom, or fibre field operations, with 3+ years managing multiple teams or locations
- Strong knowledge of FTTH, GPON/XGS-PON, OLT/ONT, splitters, and fibre network architecture
- Hands-on understanding of splicing, OTDR testing, and fault localisation
- Experience managing large field teams and third-party vendors
- Proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and CRM/ticketing systems
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with workforce management or field force automation tools
- Background in a high-subscriber-density or multi-city ISP environment
- Knowledge of local language and regional market
- Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler licence for zone travel

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
