Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Planning & Control (PPC) professional to lead the PPC function and ensure effective planning, coordination and execution of customer orders from order receipt through production and final dispatch.

The role will be responsible for production planning and control, delivery commitments, pending order management, dispatch planning, vehicle planning and coordination across functions to ensure timely execution of customer orders.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall Production Planning & Control function, ensuring effective planning, coordination and control of customer orders through to complete execution.
- Coordinate with the Sales team and provide realistic delivery commitments based on material availability, production capacity, existing workload and operational constraints.
- Own and continuously monitor pending customer orders, ensuring every order is appropriately planned, followed up and driven through to timely execution.
- Prepare and release production plans with appropriate machine allocation, sequencing and priorities to ensure timely order execution and optimum utilisation of available capacity.
- Prepare and control dispatch plans in line with customer commitments, production status and order priorities.
- Plan vehicle requirements, allocate loads to vehicles and manage vehicle scheduling to ensure timely and efficient dispatches.
- Monitor production and dispatch performance against plan, identify delays and deviations at an early stage, and initiate timely replanning and corrective coordination.
- Maintain clear visibility of order status, material availability, production progress, WIP and dispatch status for effective planning and control.
- Establish and maintain time studies, machine capacities and production standards to improve planning accuracy and capacity utilisation.




- Coordinate closely with Sales, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Transport and other relevant functions to resolve constraints and ensure smooth order execution.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, capacity utilisation, lead time, vehicle utilisation and on-time delivery performance.
- Develop and strengthen PPC systems, SOPs, reports and MIS to establish a disciplined and reliable planning function.
- Lead, guide and develop the PPC team, ensuring clear responsibilities, accountability and effective execution.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a team-leading / managerial role within the Production Planning & Control function.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling, capacity planning, order management, dispatch planning and production control.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, machine capacities, material flow, quality and maintenance coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and prioritisation skills.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to build, guide and develop a planning team.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Production and other functions.
- Robust ownership, follow-up and execution orientation, with the ability to drive orders and plans through to closure.
- Good working knowledge of ERP-based planning and production systems.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, manage changing priorities and take timely decisions.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
