Production / Project Manager – SPM Industry

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production / Project Manager with strong hands-on experience in the Special Purpose Machine (SPM), Industrial Automation, or Capital Equipment industry. The ideal candidate should have expertise in production planning, project execution, machine assembly, resource management, and timely delivery of customized machines as per customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities for SPM and automation projects.
- Manage end-to-end machine manufacturing, assembly, and project execution.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Assembly teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Monitor fabrication, machining, component availability, and machine assembly progress.
- Ensure machines are manufactured as per customer specifications, drawings, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Manage manpower, materials, machinery, and production resources efficiently.
- Coordinate machine trials, testing, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and dispatch readiness.
- Resolve production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and rework.
- Monitor project costs, material consumption, productivity,



and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Lead the production team and maintain safety, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of SPM manufacturing and industrial automation projects.
- Experience in production planning, project management, and machine assembly.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Excellent coordination, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP and production reporting is preferred.
- Strong focus on quality, cost control, and on-time project delivery.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with relevant SPM / Special Purpose Machine / Capital Equipment manufacturing experience will be preferred.
- Experience handling customized machines, automation lines, assembly systems, or turnkey automation projects.
- Candidates who have coordinated with Design, Purchase, Fabrication, Machining, and Assembly teams.
- Candidates with proven experience in project execution and customer-specific machine delivery.
- Candidates from general mass-production industries without SPM or automation project experience may not be suitable.
