Job Title: General Practitioner (GP)

1. Job Summary

The General Practitioner is responsible for providing primary healthcare services, examining and diagnosing common medical conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments, and ensuring quality patient care in accordance with established medical standards and applicable regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Examine patients, assess symptoms, and obtain relevant medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments.
- Recommend necessary laboratory investigations and interpret reports as clinically appropriate.
- Provide preventive healthcare advice and patient education.
- Identify emergency cases and arrange timely referral to an appropriate higher medical facility.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records and clinical notes.
- Refer patients to specialists whenever necessary.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and medical ethics standards.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, attendants,



and clinic staff.

3. Qualifications and Requirements

- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (TCMC) Registration Certificate is mandatory.
- The candidate must possess valid medical registration and be legally authorized to practice in Kerala.
- Relevant clinical experience is preferred.
- Good communication, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and quality healthcare.

4. Working Hours

- Working hours: 10 hours per day.
- The duty schedule will be determined by clinic management.
- The doctor is expected to adhere to the assigned duty timings and clinic policies.
- Weekly holidays, breaks, and other employment conditions will be as per the agreed employment terms and applicable regulations.

5. Performance Expectations

- Provide safe, ethical, and patient-centred medical care.
- Maintain proper clinical documentation.
- Ensure timely assessment, treatment, and referral of patients.
- Maintain professional conduct and cooperation with the clinic team.
- Comply with applicable medical regulations and clinic policies.

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
