Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented design engineer proficient in AutoCAD to prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for warehouse storage systems, pallet racking systems, and other material handling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD as per project requirements.

- Develop general arrangement (GA) drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and installation layouts.

- Prepare warehouse layouts for pallet racking systems, including selective, VNA, drive-in, and other storage systems.

- Interpret customer requirements, site measurements, and technical specifications. Coordinate with the sales, production, and project execution teams to finalise drawings.

- Revise drawings based on customer feedback and engineering changes.

- Prepare bill of materials (BOM), cutting lists, and other technical documents as required.

- Ensure drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company specifications.

- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.





- Support the production and installation teams by resolving drawing-related technical queries.

Required Skills

- Positive working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D; knowledge of 3D modelling is an advantage.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering, fabrication, and structural components.

- Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.

- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in pallet racking systems, warehouse storage solutions, industrial shelving, or material handling equipment.

- Knowledge of structural steel sections, fabrication processes, and installation drawings.

- Familiarity with warehouse space planning and storage system layouts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy and quality of engineering drawings.

- Timely completion of drawings and project deliverables.

- Number of drawing errors and revisions.

- Compliance with project specifications.

- Coordination and support provided to production and installation teams.
