As our operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Passage Guidance Superintendent to assist our International operations.

Role Overview

The Passage Guidance Superintendent will conduct independent reviews of vessel passage plans and navigation procedures during client inspections. The role focuses on assessing navigational safety, identifying potential risks, and providing qualified guidance to Masters and deck officers to improve passage planning standards and compliance with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct passage guidance inspections onboard vessels on behalf of clients.
- Review and assess voyage plans, ECDIS routes, and navigation practices.
- Identify navigational risks, hazards, and non-conformities related to passage planning.
- Provide practical guidance and recommendations to vessel officers to improve navigational safety.




- Prepare clear inspection reports outlining observations, findings, and improvement actions.
- Support clients in improving navigation procedures and inspection readiness.
- Liaise with ship management companies and vessel Masters regarding inspection findings.

Requirements

- Master Mariner (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency preferred.
- Previous experience as Master or Chief Officer on commercial vessels.
- Experience in marine inspections, vetting, audits, or superintendent roles highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of ECDIS navigation, passage planning, and navigational risk assessment.
- Ability to travel and conduct onboard inspections internationally.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
