Senior Solution Architect – SAP Group Reporting & Record to Report (R2R)

About the role
Arj Global is hiring a Senior Solution Architect to join our Bengaluru team and work with our client. You’ll be the subject matter expert for SAP Group Reporting and Record to Report, shaping finance solutions that are scalable, secure and built around how the business actually runs.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll design and review solutions, guide development teams, work alongside business process experts, and influence stakeholders from finance leadership to enterprise architects.

What you’ll do

- Partner with business leaders, solution and technical architects, project managers and end-users to understand requirements and challenges
- Design, review and architect SAP Group Reporting and R2R solutions with scalability, performance and security in mind
- Provide SAP Finance functional and technical guidance to development teams, aligned with industry best practice
- Lead troubleshooting, defect root-cause analysis and preventive actions
- Document and optimise AS-IS business processes, and identify automation and self-service opportunities
- Evaluate the current landscape and shape the roadmap,



anticipating risks and preparing mitigation strategies
- Review and evaluate vendor solutions, and advise on build vs reuse decisions
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, compliance and governance standards
- Mentor junior team members

What you’ll bring

- 15+ years in Record to Report, specialising in Group Reporting and Finance & Controlling
- Deep functional knowledge of SAP Group Reporting and SAP Finance, across both design and configuration
- A strong finance background as an auditor, accountant or finance/controlling consultant (essential)
- A proven track record in a similar architect role, delivering measurable impact
- Experience with integration technologies (APIs, middleware, messaging) and security principles in solution design
- Solid communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams, with the ability to present ideas and influence decisions
