Job Responsibilities

- Design, plan, and deliver engaging Western dance curricula for students ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
- Conduct regular classes, workshops, and special sessions that promote technique, creativity, and performance confidence.
- Prepare students for school functions, inter‑school competitions, and cultural events, ensuring high‑quality performances.
- Assess student progress through observations, feedback, and periodic evaluations, and provide personalized guidance for improvement.
- Maintain a secure, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore diverse dance styles.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty, coordinators, and the school administration to integrate dance activities within the broader educational program.
- Organize and supervise rehearsals, manage costume and prop requirements, and oversee stage setups for performances.
- Stay updated with contemporary Western dance trends, techniques, and teaching methodologies, and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development programs, and community outreach initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

- Graduate degree (B.A./B. Sc.)



in Dance, Performing Arts .
- Formal certification or recognized training in Western dance styles (e.g., contemporary, hip‑hop, jazz, ballet, lyrical) from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in multiple Western dance forms with a portfolio of performances or teaching experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with children, teenagers, and parents.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage class schedules and performance logistics.
- First‑aid certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred).

Desired Experience

- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a school, college, or private dance studio setting.
- Track record of preparing students for competitions, festivals, or stage productions.
- Experience in choreographing for large groups and adapting routines to varying skill levels.
- Familiarity with using audio‑visual aids and digital tools for instructional purposes.
- Participation in professional dance workshops, seminars, or conferences is a plus.
