Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Painting Supervisor to oversee painting operations, manage manpower, ensure quality standards, and maintain production schedules. The candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial painting processes, surface preparation, paint application, and quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day painting operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Plan and allocate work to painters and helpers based on production requirements.
- Monitor surface preparation activities, including cleaning, grinding, sanding, and removal of rust, oil, and dust.
- Ensure proper application of primer, putty, and finishing coats as per specifications.
- Handle industrial painting processes, including spray painting and other applicable coating methods.
- Ensure the correct mixing, dilution, and usage of paints and coatings as per technical specifications.
- Inspect painted components for defects such as uneven coating, runs, sags, pinholes, peeling, and improper finish.
- Maintain required paint thickness, finish quality, and drying or curing time.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Stores departments to ensure the timely availability of materials and completion of jobs.
- Monitor paint consumption, reduce material wastage, and maintain records of paint and consumables.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements,



and proper handling and storage of paints and chemicals.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in the painting area.
- Prepare daily production reports and update the status of painting activities.
- Identify painting defects and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Required Skills

- Practical knowledge of industrial painting and coating processes.
- Experience in manpower handling and production supervision.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, paint mixing, spray guns, and coating application.
- Ability to identify painting defects and maintain quality standards.
- Knowledge of paint specifications, coating thickness, and finishing requirements.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3–7 years of relevant experience in industrial painting supervision.
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering company will be preferred.
- Ability to manage a team of painters and helpers.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, fabricated components, or structural steel painting will be an added advantage.
