Core Responsibilities

- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Track maternal vital signs, blood pressure, pain levels, and contraction frequency, alongside continuous monitoring of fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitors.
- Medication & Pain Management: Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, labor-inducing drugs (such as Pitocin), and assist anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists with epidurals.
- Labor Support & Coaching: Guide mothers through breathing techniques, positioning (such as using peanut balls or lithotomy positions), and active pushing during delivery.
- Childbirth Assistance: Prepare the delivery room, set up sterile instruments and warmers, and assist obstetricians, midwives, or physicians during vaginal or cesarean (C-section) deliveries.
- Newborn Care: Perform immediate post-birth assessments, clear airways,



calculate APGAR scores, dry and warm the infant, and support early skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding.
- Postpartum Monitoring: Observe the mother for excessive bleeding, monitor uterine contraction, and manage early recovery signs for the first few hours post-delivery.
- Emergency Intervention: Identify early signs of fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage, or other obstetric emergencies and initiate rapid life-saving protocols.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and hand over patient status using structured frameworks like SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
