Role Description The Physical Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing physical design for complex SoCs, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. Daily tasks include collaborating with logic and RTL design teams, running physical verification checks, analyzing and resolving design and layout issues, and ensuring adherence to power, performance, and area targets. The role also involves working with EDA tools, preparing design documentation, supporting tape-out activities,



and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality, on-schedule deliverables. Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure.
• Hands-on experience in Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS, and sign-off flows.
• Solid understanding of Logic Design and Circuit Design fundamentals relevant to digital SoCs.
• Proficiency in RTL Design concepts and close collaboration with front-end design teams.
• 4+ years of industry experience in ASIC/SoC physical design; immediate joining availability preferred.
• Practical experience with leading EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, or equivalent) and standard physical design flows.
• Good knowledge of timing analysis, power optimization, and design-for-manufacturability practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a related discipline.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to high-quality, detail-oriented work.
