Technical Project Manager

12+ Years Role: Technical Project Manager Technology Stack: MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with 12+ years of experience in software development and project delivery, including strong technical expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing end-to-end software development projects, leading cross-functional engineering teams, driving technical delivery, and ensuring successful execution of complex web application development initiatives. The candidate should possess a combination of technical depth, project management expertise, stakeholder management capabilities, and hands-on understanding of modern web application architectures.

Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning & Delivery
•
• Manage end-to-end project delivery across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies.
• Drive Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Technical Leadership – MERN Stack
•
• Provide technical oversight for applications developed using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Understand frontend and backend architecture, REST APIs, microservices, and database design.
• Guide teams on application architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.




• Review technical designs and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Oversee integration with third-party APIs, external systems, and enterprise applications.
• Ensure performance optimization, application security, and code quality.
• Team Management & Leadership
•
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams comprising developers and business analysts.
• Manage engineering resources, capacity planning, task allocation, and productivity.
• Conduct regular project reviews, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Resolve technical and operational blockers.
• Foster collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance engineering culture.
• Stakeholder & Client Management
•
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, business stakeholders, and senior management.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies through regular reporting.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and handle escalations effectively.
• Conduct project demonstrations, steering committee meetings, and delivery reviews.
• Quality Assurance & Process Management
•
• Ensure adherence to software engineering standards and development best practices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to establish testing strategies, automation, and release readiness.




• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and production releases.
• Ensure proper documentation, technical specifications, and project governance.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and delivery efficiency. Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of MERN stack:
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integration.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and modern development tools.
• Understanding of application security, scalability, performance optimization, and system architecture. Project Management Skills

• Experience in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
• Expertise in project planning, estimation, scheduling, and resource management.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Strong risk management and issue resolution capabilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects and distributed teams.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting skills. Required Qualifications & Experience
•
• Minimum 12+ years of overall experience in IT/software development.
• Significant experience managing end-to-end software development projects.
• Solid technical understanding and project delivery experience in MERN stack-based applications.
• Experience working with international clients
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent Agile certifications are an advantage. Ideal Candidate: A seasoned technology professional who combines strong MERN stack knowledge with proven project management and delivery leadership experience, capable of managing complex software engineering initiatives from requirement gathering through production deployment.
