About the Position We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Quantity Takeoff Specialist to join our growing engineering and estimating team in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete, formwork, reinforcement steel, and related structural construction activities across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This position involves responsibilities similar to those of a Senior Quantity Takeoff Specialist, with technical guidance, supervision, and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities
1. Concrete Quantity Takeoffs
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for foundations, footings, grade beams, columns, walls, slabs, stairs, and other structural concrete elements.
• Calculate concrete volumes using structural and architectural drawings.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, missing dimensions, and scope gaps. 2. Formwork Quantity Takeoffs
• Calculate formwork areas for footings, foundation walls, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, elevator cores, and stairwells.
• Prepare detailed formwork quantity breakdowns by structural element and construction level.
• Assist with estimating formwork materials, accessories, and related quantities. 3. Reinforcement Steel Takeoffs
• Perform rebar quantity takeoffs using structural drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Calculate reinforcement quantities by bar size, length, weight, and structural element.
• Review reinforcement details, lap lengths, spacing, and bar configurations.
• Assist in preparing rebar quantity summaries and bar bending schedules. 4. Drawing Review & Quantity Verification
• Interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and revisions.
• Compare drawing revisions and identify quantity changes.
• Maintain accurate takeoff records and supporting calculations. 5. Estimating & Tender Support
• Prepare quantity takeoff spreadsheets and detailed measurement reports.




• Organize quantities according to project scope, work breakdown structures, and cost codes.
• Assist senior estimators with bid preparation, scope review, and tender documentation.
• Support quantity reconciliation and internal quality checks. 6. Software & Documentation
• Perform digital takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, or equivalent estimating software.
• Use Microsoft Excel for quantity calculations, summaries, and reporting.
• Maintain organized digital files, drawing registers, and takeoff documentation.
• Follow company estimating SOPs, quality standards, and submission deadlines. Required Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or Quantity Surveying.
• 7+ years of experience in concrete, formwork, structural quantity takeoffs, or construction estimating.
• Good understanding of structural drawings and reinforced concrete construction.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to calculate concrete volumes, formwork areas, and reinforcement quantities.
• Robust mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to learn North American construction drawings, measurement practices, and estimating standards. Preferred Skills
• Experience with residential high-rise, commercial, industrial, or institutional concrete projects.
• Familiarity with Canadian or North American structural drawings.
• Knowledge of rebar detailing, bar bending schedules, and construction sequencing.
• Understanding of estimating work breakdown structures and quantity verification procedures.
