Role Description The Automotive Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicle components, including surface cleaning, sanding, masking, priming, and applying topcoats to meet quality and safety standards. Daily tasks include color matching, mixing paint, operating spray equipment, and inspecting finishes for defects, followed by necessary touch-ups and polishing. The role involves working closely with production and maintenance teams to meet schedules, maintain tools and painting booths, and follow environmental, health, and safety procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, requiring consistent adherence to workplace safety protocols and company quality guidelines.



Qualifications
• Strong skills in automotive surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Proficiency in spray painting techniques, paint mixing, color matching, and application of clear coat and specialized finishes.
• Ability to inspect painted surfaces, identify defects, perform rework, and maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to painting operations, including proper use of PPE, ventilation, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Experience working in an automotive, industrial, or manufacturing paint shop setting is highly beneficial.
• Basic understanding of production workflows and the ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians and supervisors.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, work in paint booths, and handle equipment and materials safely.
• Completion of vocational training or certification in automotive painting or refinishing is an advantage.
• Commitment to inclusive, respectful workplace behavior and willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
