Role Description The Lead
- Video Annotation VLA is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing video labeling and annotation projects that power CNTXT AI’s training data solutions. This role coordinates daily workflows for annotation teams, defines and refines annotation guidelines, and ensures consistent application of labeling standards across complex video datasets. The lead monitors quality metrics, reviews sample annotations, and provides feedback and coaching to annotators to maintain accuracy and productivity. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and AI engineers to understand data requirements, reporting on progress and issues, and helping optimize tools and processes for large-scale video annotation initiatives. Qualifications
• Experience with data labeling, video annotation, or related data operations, including the ability to interpret and apply detailed annotation guidelines.
• Background in leading or coordinating teams, with skills in task allocation, performance monitoring, and coaching in a production or operations environment.




• Strong analytical and quality-focused mindset, including attention to detail, pattern recognition in visual data, and comfort working with quality metrics and dashboards.
• Proficiency with digital collaboration and productivity tools, and familiarity with annotation platforms or data management systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in en_US, with the ability to document processes, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Relevant experience in AI data operations, computer vision, or content moderation is beneficial; exposure to sovereign AI or compliance-focused projects is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field such as data science, engineering, operations, or a similar discipline is preferred.
