Role Description The VTL Operator role is a full time, on-site position based at the Ahmedabad facility. The VTL Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) to machine components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, performing machine setup, monitoring operations, and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and production targets. The role also involves conducting basic inspections using measuring instruments, documenting production data, and collaborating with supervisors and quality teams to resolve issues.



The VTL Operator is expected to follow safety procedures, maintain equipment cleanliness, and support continuous improvement in machining processes. Qualifications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience operating Vertical Turning Lathes or similar CNC/lathe machines.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Understanding of machining processes, cutting parameters, and tool selection for different materials.
• Knowledge of shop floor safety practices and standard operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of a relevant technical qualification (ITI, Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to work in shifts, meet production deadlines, and maintain attention to detail over repetitive tasks.
• Strong teamwork, basic communication skills, and willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
• Prior experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing setup in Ahmedabad or similar locations is an advantage.
