The plant is HACCP, ISO 22000:2018, BRC Food Issue 9, HALAL, SEDEX, EIA, and SPICEBOARD certified, and is registered with the US FDA, operating under strict FSMS and GMP standards. An in office R&D; department and experienced, skilled personnel continuously develop new products and maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and competitive market positioning. Role Description The General Manager Production is a full-time, on-site role based in Walwa, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations in the fruit and vegetable processing plant. This role includes planning and monitoring daily production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and FSMS/GMP standards. The General Manager Production will lead and develop production teams, coordinate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and R&D; departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and output. The role also involves analyzing production data, resolving operational issues, implementing best manufacturing practices, and supporting audits and certifications. The position requires hands-on involvement on the shop floor, ensuring timely delivery of products that meet company and customer specifications. Job Responsibilities & Work Scope
• Production Planning & Execution: Plan, schedule, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to achieve production targets as per customer requirements and company standards.
• Production Management: Manage end-to-end production operations,



including processed fruits and vegetables, pickles, chutneys, sauces, ketchup, ready-to-eat products, and other food products manufactured by the company.
• Manpower Management: Allocate manpower, supervise production teams, and ensure optimum utilization of human resources across all production lines.
• Quality & Food Safety: Ensure compliance with established quality standards, food safety requirements, GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, BRCGS, and applicable statutory regulations in coordination with the Quality Assurance Department.
• Process Control: Monitor critical process parameters, including temperature, time, pressure, pH, Brix, filling temperature, sealing, sterilization, and other product-specific parameters, wherever applicable.
• Yield & Wastage Control: Monitor production yield, raw material consumption, process losses, rejection rates, and wastage to improve operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Equipment & Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure preventive maintenance, timely repairs, equipment availability, and minimum production downtime.
• Raw Material & Packaging Coordination: Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, and Quality Departments to ensure the availability and suitability of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other production requirements.
• Inventory Management: Monitor work-in-progress, finished goods, production consumption, material reconciliation, and stock utilization to minimize losses and avoid unnecessary inventory accumulation.
• New Product Development: Coordinate with the R&D; and Quality Assurance teams for product trials, process validation, scale-up, commercialization,



and successful implementation of new products.
• Audit & Compliance: Ensure production-related documentation, records, and procedures are maintained and updated for internal audits, customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Documentation & Reporting: Review daily production reports, batch manufacturing records, material consumption reports, downtime reports, rejection reports, and other production-related records.
• Cost Control & Productivity: Implement measures to improve productivity, reduce operational costs, optimize resource utilization, and achieve production targets within approved budgets.
• Safety & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, personal hygiene requirements, sanitation practices, cleaning schedules, and housekeeping standards throughout the production area.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, R&D;, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, Planning, Dispatch, and HR departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve production efficiency, product consistency, process reliability, and overall operational performance.
• Team Development: Train, guide, and evaluate production supervisors, operators, and other team members to improve technical knowledge, discipline, productivity, and performance.
• Management Reporting: Submit regular reports on production performance, target achievement, manpower utilization, material consumption, process deviations, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives to the Management.
• Production Trials & Customer

Requirements:
Support production trials, customer-specific requirements, export product specifications, and process modifications in coordination with the relevant departments.
• Operational Accountability: Ensure that all production activities are carried out according to approved SOPs, product specifications, production plans, quality requirements, and company policies.
