Role Description The Purchasing Manager is a full-time role based in Pune City with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of materials, components, and services required for solar projects, including vendor identification, negotiation, and contracting. Daily activities include evaluating supplier performance, maintaining accurate purchase records, optimizing inventory levels, and coordinating with project, engineering, and finance teams to ensure timely availability of materials within budget. The Purchasing Manager will develop and implement purchasing policies, monitor market trends and pricing,



and support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or sustainability standards. The role also involves resolving supply issues, ensuring compliance with company guidelines, and building long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers. Qualifications
• Strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor management, negotiation, contract handling, and cost optimization.
• Experience with inventory management, purchase planning, and coordination between procurement, operations, and finance teams.
• Knowledge of solar energy or renewable energy products and components, or experience in engineering/manufacturing procurement (renewable sector experience is an advantage).
• Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis for decision-making.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are beneficial.
• Demonstrated integrity, commitment to sustainable practices, and openness to learning in a agile, innovation-driven company.
