About the Role
We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Administrator with 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration and a valid SAP Basis certification. The candidate will be responsible for SAP system administration, performance monitoring, system upgrades, troubleshooting, transport management, and ensuring the stability, security, and availability of SAP environments. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SAP Basis, SAP HANA, and SAP system landscapes, along with the ability to resolve technical issues and support business-critical SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities
1. SAP Basis Administration
• Install, configure, maintain, and administer SAP systems, including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Perform SAP system upgrades, kernel upgrades, patching, and support package implementation.
• Manage SAP system landscapes, client administration, and system refreshes.
• Monitor SAP system availability, performance, background jobs, and work processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related technical issues. 2. SAP Transport & Change Management
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS), including transport requests, imports, and approvals.
• Coordinate system changes across Development, Quality, and Production environments.
• Ensure proper execution of system maintenance and change management activities. 3. SAP ECC /HANA & DB2 Database Management
• Work with SAP HANA databases and coordinate database administration activities.
• Monitor database performance, space utilization, and system health.
• Support database backup, recovery, and troubleshooting activities.




• Coordinate with database teams to resolve performance and connectivity issues. 4. SAP Performance & Monitoring
• Monitor SAP system performance, logs, dumps, and system alerts.
• Troubleshoot issues related to system availability, response time, and resource utilization.
• Perform regular health checks and implement preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure the stability and optimal performance of SAP applications. 5. SAP Security & User Administration
• Manage SAP user administration, roles, profiles, and authorizations in coordination with the security team.
• Support SAP security patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Assist with internal and external audits by maintaining relevant technical documentation. 6. Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery
• Support SAP system backup, restoration, and recovery procedures.
• Assist in SAP Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and database teams to ensure SAP system availability and business continuity. 7. Documentation & Coordination
• Maintain SAP technical documentation, SOPs, and system configuration records.
• Coordinate with functional consultants, infrastructure teams, database administrators, and external SAP vendors.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution of recurring technical issues. Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.




• Mandatory: Valid SAP Basis certification.
• Robust experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA system administration.
• Practical knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and administration.
• Experience with SAP installations, upgrades, kernel patching, and support packages.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA database administration and performance monitoring.
• Experience in SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, client administration, and system refreshes.
• Knowledge of SAP backup, recovery, and Disaster Recovery procedures.
• Understanding of SAP security, user administration, roles, and authorizations.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams. Educational Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.
E./B.
Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics/Telecommunications.
• Alternatively, a B.
Sc. in IT/Computer Science, BCA, MCA, or M.
Sc. in Computer Science/IT may be considered. Certification
• SAP Basis certification preferred. Preferred Skills
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation projects.
• Exposure to SAP on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and change management. Soft Skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.
