Experience:

Job Description
– Team Lead – US Mortgage Underwriting Process: US Mortgage – Live Underwriting / QM / Post Closing Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – US Mortgage Underwriting to manage a team of underwriters/SMEs and ensure smooth day-to-day operations, quality delivery, productivity and adherence to US mortgage guidelines. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: Live Underwriting, Quality Management (QM) or Post Closing, along with prior experience handling a team.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of US Mortgage Underwriters/SMEs.
• Monitor daily productivity, quality, TAT and SLA adherence.
• Provide guidance, coaching and process support to team members.
• Handle escalations and resolve complex underwriting-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with US mortgage guidelines, client requirements and process standards.
• Conduct quality reviews, identify errors and drive corrective actions.




• Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders for operational requirements.
• Drive team performance, process improvements and continuous learning. Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in US Mortgage Underwriting.
• 1–2 years of experience working as a Team Lead.
• Strong hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
• Live US Mortgage Underwriting
• Quality Management (QM)
• Post Closing
• Good understanding of US mortgage processes, documentation and underwriting guidelines.
• Experience managing team productivity, quality and performance metrics.
• Solid communication, problem-solving and people-management skills. Candidate Profile
• Should have progressed from an Underwriter/SME role into a Team Lead position.
• Must have hands-on mortgage process knowledge and the ability to guide team members.
• Should be comfortable working in US business hours/shifts, as required. Preferred
