Role Description The Pricing Manager (Shipping Line) will manage and optimize ocean freight pricing for import and export movements, focusing on FCL and LCL cargo. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves analyzing carrier rate structures, negotiating with shipping lines and NVOCCs, and preparing competitive quotations that align with customer requirements and company margin guidelines. The role includes monitoring trade lanes, keeping track of market trends and surcharges,



and updating internal pricing databases and tools to ensure accurate and timely information for the sales and operations teams. The Pricing Manager will collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and operations to support bid submissions, respond to RFQs/RFPs, and provide pricing guidance for key accounts and strategic projects. Day-to-day tasks also involve reviewing performance of awarded rates, identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement of pricing processes and strategies. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight pricing, shipping line tariffs, trade lanes, and common surcharges; experience with FCL/LCL, export/import procedures, and freight forwarding operations.
• Proficiency in data analysis and cost modeling, including the use of spreadsheets and pricing tools to compare rates, calculate margins, and support business decisions.
• Effective negotiation and relationship-management skills for working with carriers, NVOCCs, and other logistics partners.
• Ability to collaborate with sales and operations teams, interpret customer requirements, and prepare transparent, accurate and timely quotations and bids.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple pricing requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present pricing rationales and market insights to internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
