The role is responsible for process improvement, equipment reliability, productivity enhancement, quality compliance, troubleshooting, and coordination with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to achieve operational and business objectives

Job Description
As a Senior Engineer in the Process Department, you will lead and optimize press operations, ensuring the secure, efficient, and high-quality production of extruded products. Your role will involve driving process improvements, enhancing equipment reliability, and boosting productivity. You will ensure compliance with quality standards and troubleshoot any operational issues. Collaborating with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams, you will work towards achieving both operational and business objectives. Your expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and SAP applications will be crucial in managing and improving the extrusion processes.



You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and operators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Your strategic mindset and strong communication skills will be essential in navigating complex challenges and driving the organization towards its goals. Responsibility Independently manage and supervise daily extrusion press operations to meet production targets as per the production planbr Monitor critical process parameters such as billet heating temperature soaking time extrusion pressure and speed to ensure optimal performancebr Ensure proper handling and maintenance of dies mandrels containers dummy blocks and other extrusion toolingbr Oversee extrusion operations for various stainless steel grades pipe sizes and wall thicknesses ensuring adherence to approved process parameters and SOPsbr Execute daily and shiftwise production plans monitoring output machine utilization cycle time and productivity to minimize process losses and material wastagebr Coordinate with upstream and downstream departments to ensure smooth material flow and maintain comprehensive production and process recordsbr Ensure dimensional accuracy surface finish and quality of extruded pipes addressing common extrusion defects and coordinating with the Quality Department for inspectionsbr Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues and ensure material traceabilitybr Monitor the health and performance of hydraulic extrusion presses and associated equipment identifying and troubleshooting processrelated and machinerelated problemsbr Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance aiming to reduce breakdowns and improve machine availabilitybr Allocate manpower according to production requirements supervising and training operators technicians and helpers on machine operation process parameters and SOPsbr Ensure proper shift handover and maintain discipline within the department fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence Company Name Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited Division Pipe Plant Key Interactions Cross-Functional Collaboration ,Internal Communication ,Plant Production,Project Coordination ,Product,Quality Assurance Relevant Work Experience 4
