8–12 years Role Type: Hands-on Technical Lead Primary Technologies: Playwright, TypeScript / JavaScript, Cursor AI Testing Focus: UI Automation, API Testing, AI-Assisted Test Engineering Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on AI Test Lead to lead automation engineering using Playwright and AI-powered coding tools, like Cursor The candidate must possess robust software testing fundamentals, expertise in using scalable automation frameworks, and practical experience using AI coding assistants to generate, enhance, debug, and maintain automated tests. The role requires an individual contributor and also provide technical leadership, mentor automation engineers, and drive measurable improvements in automation productivity and application quality. Mandatory Skills
• 8–12 years of software testing and quality engineering experience.
• Excellent practical knowledge of Playwright and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Demonstrable experience using Cursor AI or a comparable AI-powered coding assistant for real automation tasks.
• Proficiency in Git, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Review and validate AI-generated code before merging it into the automation framework.
• Implement Page Object Model or other appropriate maintainable test architecture.
• Minimize flaky tests and ensure test isolation and repeatability.
• Validate AI-generated assertions against business requirements and expected application behaviour.
• Establish reusable workflows that improve productivity without compromising test quality.
• Ability to independently review, correct, and maintain AI-generated automation code. Preferred Skills
• Experience testing applications, using Gen AI tools like cursor etc.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and project-specific AI instructions.
• Experience with Docker, cloud test environments, and distributed test execution.
• Familiarity with visual regression testing and AI-based test analytics.
