Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor role is a full time, remote position focused on guiding prospective students through the entire overseas education journey. In this role, the counsellor conducts structured consultations to understand clients’ academic profiles, interests, and career objectives, and recommends suitable countries, universities, and programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with application preparation, reviewing documents, coordinating timelines, and providing guidance on admission requirements and scholarship opportunities. The counsellor supports students through the student visa process by explaining procedures, helping organize documentation, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders where needed.



The role also involves delivering clear information on immigration pathways, offering pre-departure briefings, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and collaborating with team members to ensure a consistent, client-centered experience. Qualifications
• Strong counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to assess academic profiles, understand career goals, and provide tailored study abroad guidance.
• Knowledge of international education systems, university admission processes, and student visa requirements for major study destinations.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex information clearly and maintain transparent, professional client interactions.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, track application and visa timelines, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Proficiency with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms, including CRM or student management systems, online meeting tools, and standard office software.
• Customer service orientation and empathy, with a focus on building trust, managing expectations, and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, international relations, business, or a related field; prior experience in study abroad counseling or international education is an advantage.
• Familiarity with immigration pathways, scholarship options, and career planning for international graduates is beneficial.
