Job Title: Machine Shop QC Inspector Department: Quality Control (QC)

Location:
Machine Shop / Production Reporting To: Quality Manager / QC Head 1. Job Purpose To ensure that all machined components and products meet the required quality standards, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and dimensional tolerances. 2.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inspect incoming raw materials and machined components as per drawings and specifications. 2. Perform dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Thread Gauge 3. Verify dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and other quality parameters. 4. Conduct first-piece inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection. 5. Check machine shop operations such as CNC, VMC, Lathe, Drilling, Milling, and Grinding. 6. Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records. 7. Identify and report non-conforming products and take necessary corrective actions. 8. Coordinate with production and machine operators to resolve quality issues. 9. Ensure proper identification and segregation of rejected and accepted materials. 10. Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap activities. 11.



Ensure calibration and proper handling of measuring instruments. 12. Follow company quality procedures, safety rules, and 5S practices. 3. Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in Machine Shop Quality Inspection.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation. 4. Required Skills

- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of inspection methods and quality standards.
- Problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
