Hyderabad, Telangana Project type: Airport projects (BIM-based) | Reporting to: Management | Employment type: Full time / Project-based Converra is hiring a Quantity Surveyor (MEP) for large airport projects, with the role based in Hyderabad, Telangana. The role covers MEP quantity surveying with a strong focus on claims: valuing variations, assessing cost impact and supporting claim submissions. The successful candidate must also be able to carry out quantity take-off from BIM models. What you will do
• Carry out MEP quantity take-offs (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ELV) from BIM models and drawings.
• Compare BIM-derived quantities with contract BOQs and identify differences and omissions.
• Prepare and review monthly Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) for MEP works with supporting documents.
• Verify and reconcile MEP subcontractor and supplier payments against LPOs and subcontracts.
• Identify, evaluate and price MEP variations, changes in scope and design revisions.
• Prepare cost claims, including direct cost, prolongation and disruption, with supporting records and calculations.
• Support EOT submissions, claim narratives and commercial correspondence in coordination with the planning and contracts team.
• Review contractor and subcontractor claims for entitlement, quantum and contractual compliance.




• Keep accurate claim records, notices and supporting exhibits.
• Monitor MEP costs against approved budgets and report variances.
• Support monthly commercial and cost reporting for management. What we are looking for
• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5-8 years of experience as a QS in MEP works, including claims and variation management.
• BIM experience for quantity take-off is required.
• Experience on airport and public building projects is required.
• Experience on large airport projects in India preferred.
• Exposure to FIDIC contracts will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of BIM for quantity take-off (e.g. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks or similar) – mandatory.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Ability to write clear, well-structured claim narratives and commercial reports.
• Basic knowledge of project programmes (Primavera P6 / MS Project preferred).
• Good coordination and communication skills. What is on offer
