Job Description
We’re looking for a Lead Backend & AI Engineer to architect scalable, distributed systems and high-performance backend services while driving cloud infrastructure and AI-powered innovation. You’ll lead system architecture, engineering excellence, and the integration of LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows while mentoring engineers and shaping technical strategy.

• Lead system design and architecture for scalable, reliable, and distributed software systems.
• Drive development of high-performance backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Define database design, caching, asynchronous processing, and API security standards across services.
• Drive cloud architecture, infrastructure optimization, and production deployments using AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
• Lead the design and integration of AI-powered features using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agentic workflows.
• Establish engineering best practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, security, and system reliability.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, optimize system performance, and drive architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers, lead design and code reviews,



and collaborate with product and leadership on technical strategy. Skills Required
• 4-8 years of experience in backend development, including leading complex projects.
• Strong system design skills for distributed, high-scale systems.
• Expert in Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Deep experience with FastAPI, Express/NestJS, and REST API design.
• Strong in SQL, NoSQL, database design, and ORMs.
• Hands-on with Redis and Kafka/RabbitMQ at scale.
• Strong knowledge of API security and best practices.
• Proficient in Docker, Git, and CI/CD, with basic Kubernetes.
• Advanced AWS architecture experience.
• Experienced in logging, monitoring, and unit/integration testing.
• Proven experience shipping LLM applications to production.
• Strong in LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector DBs.
• Hands-on with LLM APIs, Hugging Face, and model deployment.
• Experienced with agentic workflows, tool calling, and LangChain/LangGraph.
• Skilled in structured outputs, streaming, LLM evals, and guardrails.
• Expertise in token cost and latency optimization and AI observability.
