Role Description The Assistant Director – Student Cultural Affairs is a full-time, on-site position based at the Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh. This role oversees planning, coordination, and execution of cultural, arts, and student engagement activities, including festivals, events, clubs, and performances. The position involves collaborating with student groups, faculty, and administrative teams to promote inclusive cultural programming and cross-cultural understanding. Daily responsibilities include mentoring student leaders, managing event logistics and budgets, ensuring compliance with university policies, and maintaining a vibrant calendar of cultural initiatives. The Assistant Director also gathers feedback, evaluates program impact, and supports strategic initiatives that enhance campus life and student well-being. Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in Student Affairs and Student Engagement, including organising cultural events, student activities, and campus-wide programs.




• Strong background in Student Counselling and Career Counselling to support student development, personal growth, and career readiness.
• Knowledge of Higher Education Administration, including policies, procedures, and governance related to student services and campus life.
• Proven ability to work with diverse student populations, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and culturally sensitive environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
• Experience in event management, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination; solid organisational and time-management abilities.
• Master’s degree in education, social sciences, psychology, management, or a related field; prior experience in a university or higher education setting is preferred.
• Comfort with using digital tools and AI-enabled platforms for student engagement, communication, and program management.
