QA Automation Engineer

Experience:
4+ Years Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in backend testing, API automation, and automation framework development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on coding experience and the ability to independently debug issues and ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities
• Design test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios for backend applications and APIs.
• Develop API automation scripts using Java and RestAssured, with Python scripting as an additional skill.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks with reusable components and robust assertions.
• Perform data validation using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL queries.
• Conduct performance testing using JMeter or Locust and analyse performance metrics.
• Debug issues across APIs, databases, AWS, Kubernetes, queues, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and generate Allure test reports.
• Manage defects, perform root cause analysis, and support production validation.
• Leverage AI-driven tools and workflows to improve test automation, efficiency, and failure analysis. Required Skills & Qualifications




• 4+ years of relevant experience in QA automation, backend testing, and API testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and RestAssured for API automation.
• Practical experience in writing automation code and developing test frameworks.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL queries, and database validation.
• Experience with JMeter or Locust for performance testing.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, application logs, and cross-layer debugging.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills. Good to Have
• Experience with gRPC and Airflow.
• Familiarity with Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience in AI/ML application testing.
• Knowledge of AI tools for improving test automation and QA workflows.
