Most homes in India are still built by hand, on site, one brick at a time. We build them in a factory: each room is a steel-framed module, finished inside, then trucked to site and stacked. The dream is to build whole buildings the way you'd build a car. One day, towers. Next year we make our first six modules and stack them into a two-storey block. Our first real building. We're a small team, and most of what it takes doesn't exist yet. THE MACHINE Our first factory plan was a normal assembly line. It needed a long shed, a lot of people, and the know-how lived in their heads. So we turned it around: in the Jigcell, the module stays still and the work comes to it. THE JOB
• Design the Jigcell and the fixtures that hold every part of a module in place
• Get it made, check it as it goes up, and bring it into use
• As we build our first modules, fix whatever doesn't fit, so each one goes together more easily than the last
• Check the modules are solid enough to lift and stack (David reviews your numbers; an outside engineer signs them off) You'll work with David, who leads the design, and Yash, who runs the Jigcell. When we build the second Jigcell, you lead your side of it. YOU'VE PROBABLY
• Spent 3–6 years designing jigs,

fixtures or special machines. Car body (BIW) fixtures would be ideal
• Used SolidWorks or similar every day, and know your tolerances and GD&T;
• Sized a steel frame by hand
• Stood next to something you designed while it was being built
• Tried building things with vibe coding, like a small tool for your CAD work PAY AND START
• ₹8–10 lakh a year (CTC) + shares, vesting over 4 years with a 1-year cliff. The less cash you take, the more shares you get
• Salary is for your first 12 months; after that we review it based on your performance
• Remote to start. When our factory opens, you relocate there
• Starts 1 December 2026 HOW WE HIRE 1. Email a paragraph about yourself 2. A short call 3. A design task at home, about four hours. The work stays yours 4. A video call with David and Yash, where you walk us through it

HOW TO APPLY
Email [email protected] with a paragraph about yourself and why you want to do this. Subject line: Your name, Mechanical Design Engineer – Jigs & Fixtures Please write it yourself, without AI. We love AI and use it every day, but here we want to see the human.
