Role Description The Assistant Surgeon will support senior surgeons in providing surgical and perioperative care to patients with conditions such as constipation, piles, hernia, and other colorectal and lifestyle-related diseases. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in surgical procedures, preparing operating rooms, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and managing pre
- and post-operative patient assessment and documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated and compassionate care.



The Assistant Surgeon will also participate in case discussions, follow-up planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Qualifications
• Relevant medical degree (BAMS MS) with recognized surgical training; postgraduate qualification in surgery MS degree preferred.
• Clinical experience in general surgery, colorectal surgery, or related specialties, including exposure to minimally invasive procedures.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative care, surgical asepsis, and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to accurately document clinical findings, maintain medical records, and follow regulatory and hospital guidelines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and counseling patients and families.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced clinical workplace, manage multiple cases, and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Commitment to ethical medical practice, continuous learning, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required by surgical schedules and patient needs.
• Prior experience in a specialty colorectal or lifestyle disease clinic is an advantage.
