We are currently expanding our Environmental Clearance (EC) division and looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Functional Area Expert – EIA / Environmental Clearance to join our team in Pune. Job Purpose: The Functional Area Expert will provide technical and functional expertise in the preparation, review, and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies and related environmental documentation required for obtaining and maintaining Environmental Clearance (EC) for projects. This role ensures that all deliverables are scientifically sound, regulatory-compliant, and delivered within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities
• EIA Study & Technical Assessment: Lead or coordinate EIA/EMP study preparation, review baseline environmental data (air, water, noise, soil, ecology, socio-economic), evaluate potential project impacts, and recommend robust mitigation measures.
• Regulatory & EC Compliance: Ensure alignment with applicable environmental regulations, guidelines, and ToR/EC requirements. Support document preparation for ToR, EC applications, amendments, and address observations from regulatory authorities/Expert Appraisal Committees (EAC).




• Report Preparation & Review: Finalize technical sections of EIA/EMP reports, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across executive summaries and environmental management plans.
• Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with the EC Coordinator, project teams, multidisciplinary consultants, statutory authorities, and laboratories.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous technical quality checks on EIA studies, datasets, drawings, and supporting documentation to maintain full traceability. Required Qualifications &

Tech in Chemical Engineering (Relevant qualifications with suitable EIA/Environmental Clearance experience will also be considered). Experience Required:
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in EIA/EMP preparation, environmental studies, regulatory compliance, and Environmental Clearance processes.
• Prior experience in infrastructure, industrial, mining, power, or manufacturing project sectors is preferred. Key Competencies:

• Excellent technical report-reviewing, analytical, and data-interpretation skills.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management abilities.
