Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP works. Study and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, tender documents, and scope of work. Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors. Analyse material, labour, equipment, installation, and subcontracting costs. Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and detailed estimation sheets. Coordinate with procurement, design, project, and commercial teams to obtain technical and pricing inputs. Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and potential cost risks in tender documents. Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and supporting estimation documents within deadlines.



Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising quality or specifications. Maintain estimation databases, vendor price lists, and historical project cost records. Support project handover by providing approved estimates, BOQs, and cost breakdowns to the execution team. Required Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 5–8 years of relevant experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry. Experience in building services, commercial buildings, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
