Role Description The IB Principal is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Manchester International School in Coimbatore. The IB Principal oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all IB programmes, ensuring alignment with IB standards and school vision. Daily responsibilities include supervising teaching and learning, mentoring faculty, conducting classroom observations, and coordinating curriculum review and assessment practices. The role involves collaborating with academic and administrative teams, leading professional development, and maintaining effective communication with learners, families, and the IB organization. The IB Principal also supports admissions-related academic reviews, ensures compliance with accreditation requirements,



and fosters a safe, inclusive, and engaging school culture. Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in educational leadership, preferably as an IB Coordinator, Head of School, or Principal within IB programmes.
• Strong curriculum design and academic management skills, including familiarity with PYP, MYP, DP, or CP frameworks and inquiry-based learning.
• Proficiency in instructional supervision, teacher mentoring, and performance evaluation focused on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills for working with learners, families, staff, and external partners.
• Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing school operations and academic planning effectively.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and the social-emotional development of children and young people.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Education or School Leadership; IB training, certifications, or workshop leadership experience are highly beneficial.
• Experience in an international or multicultural school setting and comfort with using educational technology for teaching and administration.
