Role Description The Principal Strategy Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh, India. This position leads strategic planning for political campaigns, including designing data-driven engagement plans, segmenting voter groups, and defining messaging priorities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and voter research, analyzing campaign data, developing actionable insights, and preparing strategy documents and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. The role collaborates closely with consulting teams to refine campaign tactics, guide field and digital outreach, and monitor performance against key metrics. The Principal Strategy Associate also mentors junior staff, supports business development efforts,



and contributes to the continuous improvement of VoteWave’s methodologies and tools. Qualifications
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey nuanced political and strategic concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.
• Consulting experience or skills in client advisory, stakeholder management, and solution-oriented problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in market research, including voter behavior analysis, opinion polling interpretation, and competitive landscape assessment.
• Advanced presentation skills, with experience designing and delivering compelling strategy decks, briefings, and campaign updates.
• Experience with political campaigns, public policy, advocacy, or related fields; familiarity with Indian political and electoral context is highly beneficial.
• Comfort working with data and digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, visualization platforms, CRM or campaign management software).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in political science, public policy, economics, business, data analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
