Role Description The Counselor role is a full time, on-site position based at Indra Institute of Education in Coimbatore. The Counselor will guide prospective students and professionals in selecting suitable courses and career paths by understanding their interests, educational background, and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining program details, sharing information on career outcomes, and supporting learners through admission and enrollment processes. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of inquiries and admissions,



coordinating with trainers and the administration team, and following up with leads to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The Counselor will contribute to outreach activities, participate in events, and provide ongoing guidance to enrolled learners on internships, projects, and placement opportunities. Qualifications
• Strong student counseling and career guidance skills, with the ability to assess interests, strengths, and goals and suggest appropriate programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear explanation of course details, and empathetic interaction with diverse learners.
• Basic understanding of IT training domains such as software development, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and related technology areas (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Organizational and administrative skills, including managing inquiries, maintaining records, handling admission processes, and coordinating with internal teams.
• Customer service and relationship-building skills to engage prospective students, follow up leads, and support learners throughout their training journey.
• Proficiency in using computers and office tools (email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management systems) to manage information and communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, counseling, management, or related fields is an advantage.
• Prior experience in educational counseling, admissions, career services, or training institutes is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates. •
