As part of Middleton Media Works Pvt Ltd from the Middleton Group, Rashtrix is designed for the modern media ecosystem and evolving audience habits. The network combines live broadcasting, ground reporting, explainers, debates, and real-time updates in multiple languages to reach viewers across devices and geographies. Team members will work in a dynamic environment focused on innovation, journalistic integrity, and audience engagement. Role Description The News Anchor will be responsible for presenting live news bulletins, breaking news, and special segments to audiences across television, web, and streaming platforms. Day-to-day activities include preparing scripts, reviewing news copy, coordinating with reporters and producers, and conducting live interviews, debates, and explainers. The role involves researching current events, understanding regional, national, and international stories, and delivering them with clarity, balance, and credibility. The News Anchor will collaborate closely with the editorial, reporting, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely coverage, while maintaining composure and professionalism on air. This is a full-time,



in office role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to research, verify facts, and create clear, concise, and engaging scripts.
• Candidates should possess broadcasting and presenter skills, including confident on-air delivery, explicit diction, and the ability to handle live situations and breaking news.
• Candidates should possess broadcast journalism skills, including familiarity with newsroom workflows, editorial standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one regional language (such as Bengali), with strong interpersonal skills for interviews and panel discussions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including early morning, late evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as news demands.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field; equivalent professional experience in a newsroom or on-air role is also valued.
• Comfort with digital tools, social media platforms, and multi-platform news distribution; prior experience in digital or streaming news is an advantage.
