Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Pondicherry, India, responsible for leading electrical design activities across industrial, commercial, and oil and gas projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed electrical designs, calculations, and specifications for power distribution systems, lighting, grounding, and protective systems, in line with relevant codes and standards. The role involves preparing drawings and documentation, reviewing vendor data, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and supporting EPC contractors through design reviews and technical queries. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with practical knowledge of electricity principles and power systems.




• Good Knowledge in AutoCAD. Revit is a plus.
• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for industrial, commercial, and oil and gas facilities.
• Hands-on experience with Power Distribution systems, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination studies.
• Ability to interpret and apply international and regional electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
• Prior experience in Oil and Gas is a plus
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Discipline.
• Several years of experience in electrical design roles, preferably within EPC or engineering consultancy environments.
• Competence in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or similar power system analysis software).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail and design quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.
